Question about this turbo A friend of mine has run this turbo with his 352ci SBF for about two years.
I'm just curious, what is the true power output of this turbo? I'm not asking for me, and he's changing this out for most likely a borg 85/96.
This seems like a pretty small turbo to me, he said it was maxing out pretty quick started seeing a lot of backpressure at 20 lbs.

It's basically a 7975 like most, but it has the better G series 9 blade turbine that everyone copies and Garrett quality etc. In this frame of turbo I don't see anything better than it, sure you can and need to go larger to feed a 351 ci engine at higher boost levels required for those et's. Curious on the backpressure at 20psi and what turbine housing he has, it should be the 1.28 if he had the choice.
I just don't see the larger compressor/ smaller turbine working well in the larger v8 land. I'd guess the 7375 version of this turbo makes almost the same power with a bit less backpressure.
