How bad would a stock set of LSA heads choke this setup?

Higher nickel content, that's a plus. One of the best flowing stock castings out there, also a plus.

I think your question is relative to aftermarket castings. If you have 4-5 g's to drop on some Brodix or Mast heads they'd make more power.

Compared to what? Personally I would port the LSA heads even just to get rid of that "wing" in the intake ports, big gains on LSA heads from even mild/medium port jobs. The heads are rotocast and very dense, very strong castings.

(had a bigger reply typed out but guess it decided to delete itself)

thanks for the info one the LSA heads.

Here’s some more progress pics.

Driver side is pretty much done. Will just need the motor in to finish the hot side from the manifold.

Won’t have a lot of time to mess around with it for a little bit. Really just wanted to get one side wrapped up so I could see it.

Did a bunch of wiring over the last few weeks. Mounted the 1gal air tank and compressor behind the rear bumper, fixed all the leaks that I found. Been holding pressure for over a week now. Haven't started on the other side of the turbo kit just yet. Just been knocking out some of the misc aluminum welding.

Opened up the water ports on the second IC and welded the vanjen pieces to it. Got the merge welded up to the TB. Built the water box. Don't plan to rely on ice so didn't add in a big opening and built it a little larger for some extra capacity (~7.5gallons). Made a little tunnel to direct feed air into the radiator, as well. I'll be mounting the oil cooler in there too.

I used that same line on my ATW and it dripped all the time. Your in a dryer climate than me but it Might be worth insulating since you have everything off especially if you’re gonna run ice.

Hmmm.. good to know. I don't plan to run ice. Only run the pump when I turn the boost controller on, etc.. I'll keep an eye on it and see if it needs attention. Thank you!

Yup, but as long as you aren't using ice you won't have any problems. Otherwise switch to a multilayer silicon hose like something from Vibrant, etc and you will be good to go.

Is this thing done yet lol?
Looking good boss, so are you staying with the high compression short block you had in the car originally?

I wish.. Still gonna be a while.

Yes, it might actually be in the 12.5 range for compression now. Still going to run a set of CID heads and the best they can get the chambers is 66-67cc ish.

Got my tires mounted up and put the wheels on the car. Got a good amount of clearance at full lock. I was slightly worried I would have to redo some of the kit.

Also sent my heads off to get swapped out. Hoping to see the replacements soon.

Can you have the chambers softened?

That's with all the tricks. The heads start out around 58cc, IIRC.

Turbos have more power potential and definitely are the way to go in a streetcar above 1200 rwhp or what you can make with an F1x.

This was on hold for a bit. I was busy with other things. Also, built another kit for my buddy's Grandsport. Pretty much the same kit setup, VS Racing 69/73 turbos, piston/rod LS3, air to air intercooler. It was a D1x car prior and making around 1000whp. He picked it up Monday night and started street tuning it. Preliminary data shows a good improvement over the d1x and at less boost.

As for mine, I started working on it again. I had to redo the driver side down pipe. The shorty headers I am running hang a little low and I would have had to do a short/sharp 90 right off the vband to get over the downpipe and I didnt want to do that.

Placed an order for most of the stuff that i was missing, so just waiting for everything to start trickling in.
