Hey Tom!! Good to hear from you!
Well, the hose DOES have a tear in it . . . I'd say maybe 1" max from the end. Do you think there is enough play in it to 'cut' the end off up to the tear?? Or would that be a mistake?

Gary, not sure . . . all I know is that it was there when I took the car apart. And it was also there when I dynoed 621/684 also!
Of course the one with the tear had to be the big one . . .

I think I’m going to keep the spars. -sorry- After I bottomed out the pass manifold the other day I was regretting selling my spar manif. set. If one cracks, its all over. Got almost 2 g's for just the manif's. and dumps, if I could I'd by them back.

Even I would consider buying those hoses at $6000 because I cannot figure out how to get them off the tool! I can reverse engineer them no problem, I can wrap them no problem, I can make them bullet proof-tear proof no problem. I just cannot figure out how to get the hose off of the tool after I make it.

We deal with Samco/Silflex on a daily basis and SFS and some "other" companies on a weekly basis as we move ALOT of silicone product. Getting some of the hoses off the tools is difficult and ultimately result in things like the Incon driver side pressure hose between the turbo and intercooler being made as a two piece. On the other hand, some single pieces hoses like the Incon inlets between air cleaner and turbo inlet could only be made in small quantities due to their difficulty and would slow down production. Some hoses can only be made at a rate of 1/day. We have some hoses that have four or five tools so we can keep up with demand. I will try and see what ever happened with that specific inlet hose tool and see if they can make one-offs as replacements.

I am looking at a way to make this out of a dissolvable tool right now. I know it can be done with a solid tool with a break down core. I think Samco and SFS both use a braided hose to make these types of hoses. I would have to make it out of a wrapped hose configuration which is more difficult and a longer process. I can see how these would be a 1 part per day unit. I have production rates of 1000 couplers or transitions a day on certain sizes but this unit would require a dedicated machine and operator all day long to make.
Tom what company are you with now?
Edit: nevermind, I actually decided to read every post
