So whats the symptoms of belt slip on a 4th gear wot punch
Around 6k and up it starts to feel almost like its skipping but not a mechincal issue cause its still trying to pull through it. I saw 12psi when it was happening. My dyno graph in my sig also seems to show what looks like belt slip up top? What do you guys think? I know my belt is too long as its tensioned all the way, I got a 40.5 to put on but havent done it yet. I currently run a 41.5 which was good with the 4.25 pulley but I got a 4.0 now.Take a look at the graph and give me your thoughts. Im just wondering cause if I had slip I wonder what the numbers would have been without slip. I just hope its not valve float.

No kidding I did not know that. Yah the last three digits are the belt size. If the boost flatlines at 6k I would be concerned with slippage, and not valve float, assuming you have your longblock set up right.
I'm running a 41.5 on my setup and I just ordered some 40.0's to try next time. My custom tensioner is getting maxed out.

SDCE guys run 50 inch belts ATI 8 rib guys don't. Best way to "gauge" belt slip is to watch the boost gauge assuming you have a mechanical. It will waiver at or near max boost....you see 12psi, just look for the bouncing needle after you hit max boost. If you do have some belt slip its hard to see on the graph, maybe its getting worse as the belt is getting worn in. Have you checked the standoffs to see if they are covered with dust? A good coating will mean its slipping a light dusting is normal.
Hope this helps

thanks guys, what do you think from looking at my graph in the sig? Im changing the belt saturday so I will check for the dust as well. I dont see any on the stand offs though but the last time I swapped pullies there was alot of gray dust inside the pulley
