I'm looking to go into the FI route a lot sooner that I had initially planned, reason being, I may just end up having enough money for it come the end of next summer. I want to go with a forged setup to have more room to play with in the future. I'm pretty sure I want to stay close to stock cubes. After getting my car set up for FI I will be pondering what exactly to run with. I want to blow it but I don't exactly know what setup would be the best. If I go ATI and want to make about 550 RWHP on pump gas what would some of you recommend? I am going to do some early research before I go into this so I know what to expect and get what I want out of this. Thanks

I would go with a D1SC along with a decent blower cam. 550 rwhp is very doable.

I wouldnt do a blower at all............. thats coming from a ATI guy. Do a turbo. Pro Turbo Kit has a kit coming out and you can make 550 stock motor on prob 5 psi and way more TQ then 550. Ill be doing there kit if i cant reach my goals with this kit.

Well, I will turbo it in the future for sure but I want to go with a SC for now. Would 600 RWHP be too ambitious for pump gas with this setup?

I have the exact same opinion, the ati is a good kit and all, but i forsee turbo in my future. 600 is definitely doable, you just have to have a good pulley system and a good fuel system. If I'm missing anything else, someone will chime in.

Thanks for the replies, guys. But I will still go with a blower first. After some more time in the FI scene I plan on building a very stout turbo setup. This would involve a new and larger displacement engine.

Boy thats funny. Im already on that second step of ur plan. Had a Procharger on my LPE heads and cam motor. The new setup on the car is almost completed with a new 404ci iron Twin Turbo setup. But I was a point on my old setup where I could not raise the boost due to compression. But due to the problems with belts and what not at higher boost. I decided to go twin turbo's. The new motor I wanted to be bullet proof also. So we went with a iron block. QMP will be finishing the car in a few weeks.
But ur plan of action sounds good to me . Good Luck!

550-600rwhp with a blown 347ci is very doable.
