block is cracked

In addition to a bent rod....I have a broken one and it cracked the block at the water jacket. Anyway, new motor will be the same..no changes. If you clean out your intercooler pipes..please be sure all water is removed before starting.

I hosed out the intercooler pipes and didnt get all the water out. The pipes were oily from me forgetting to reconnect the scavenge pump power after my ls1edit tune was finished loading. If I would have had it wired with a relay from the fuel pump wire, I woulda never had to disconnect it. Lesson learned...dumb mistake. Ordering block this week and will be in the machine shop asap. Should cost me around 1100-1300 for a block..rings...machine work etc. I figure i'll be back just in time for the cool weather in October

lol.....yup..once was from a crappy port job on some junk heads....that wasn't my fault. This time was. I already bought another block and crank! I'm looking for low 10s high 9
and a move on the boosted list
