Default best intake manifold and TB for FI

whats the best tb and intake manifold for a procharged car. i was thinkin ls6 because of the bang for the buck. what tb can I use with this manifold? size and brand? Also what brand drag radials do you guys recommend that hook up good? I ran this weekend and ran a shitty 12.7 at 119 with a 2.4 60ft. this was on bald bfg TA street tires. wasnt expectin to do too good with these. With some good drag radials what kind of times do you think I can get out of it?

with out spending to much money would be the ls6 and stock ported TB.
if your using the BFG radials you should be hooking better (or are you talking a true street tires) if not just get some nittos or BFGs, you should be at 2.0-1.8s with these. instead of looking at tires (unless you want slicks) focus on setting your suspension right. you got an adjustable torque arm, now finish it off with some relocation brackets, LCA maybe some shocks.

I'm curious as to the gains from a FAST intake with 90mm TB. Has anybody done this yet and have some numbers to go with it?

I read on here that the FAST would come apart/leak at higher boost, but Ronnie Duke had one on the car he had at the TA Nats.. I asked him about it, and he said they had no problems with it yet but wasn't making a lot of boost with the car either. I heard there was a sponsor of this site that swapped on a sheet metal intake and picked up some big numbers with it. Care to share that with us Kurt.

Also, would I loose any boost with the intake manifold like with free flowing headers? I would not need a retune with the intake and TB right?

I have the Fast 90 w/ 90 mm TPIS on my twins. At first I was leary that the map sensor would pop out as its not clipped in on the fast...somehow it stays in ..even above 15lbs.
I am selling my fast because I want a stock appearance, I imagine it may cause a slight increase in boost at a given airflow rate...we need some scientists to comment...but frankly I think there are too many variables.

I am wondering about going from an LS1 to an LS2 manifold. Would the increase in manifold volume, resulting in lower combustion chamber inlet temps. be worth a loss in air velocity? Would you lose torque if the volume increased that much?

When in vacuum conditions though, I know a good manifold will help anyway
