Default leaded Vs. Unleaded

Heres the deal. My car car was tuned for unleaded fuel 104-106 range and recently I got a 5gallon batch from a friend who said it was unleaded turbo blue but found out it was leaded by the guy that he got it from. My check engine light has since come on which im assuming is the O2s having gone bad. My question is can leaded mess anything else up like my tune etc etc? Thanks for the input. And is ok to drive it until its empty so i can get the right gas?

You can drive it but your 02's will be sluggish and the car might run a bit off. I set up my tune so I could drive around on 93 pump gas as long as I don't beat on it. you might want to dilute the leaded gas.

Well you can try to dilute the gas and see if they clear up.

You might need to clear the SES lite once or twice...

If they don't clear up you could try those Denso 02's they are supposed to be lead resistant.

What kinda CR do you have. If you have 11.5 or less you will be ok on the 93 as long you do not go to WOT at all.

You should be good with 93 as long as you dont not romp on the gas at all.

at 8.5 (if that's correct) and 10 psi, you shouldn't even need 104. That's really pump gas territory, and the extra few degress you can toss at it w/ 104 isn't gonna buy you that much power. At least not to warrant the hassle of worrying about what fuel you put in it.

Then again, I like to tune for what I plan to run. I'm tuned for C16, nothing else goes in the tank

As for leaded vs unleaded, it'll basically clog the element in the O2's w/ lead. It slows down the switching transition of the sensor (stock style sensor). While it slows the sensor in both directions, lean to rich and rich to lean, the lean to rich transition tends to slow down more. That will eventually drive your fuel trims up, assuming you still closed loop. So a fouled sensor can cause you to run riched than normal, that's about it. It's not gonna hurt much else.
