No way, I ran between 10-14psi all the time for about 25k miles on a 50k mile motor! when i pulled it apart, it was FINE!!!!! i couldnt believe it, but it was fine! i did my oil after every trip to the track, and plugs the same, and i kept up with my tune every month or 2, and it ran great for a long time. kind of wish i never took it apart to be honist with you.

The answer is IT DEPENDS.
You did not say what combination you have.
Most stock engine + FI setups would have problems at 12 psi, really over 10 psi any off the shelf kit either turbo or supercharger will be running hot.
Now if you are running a nice big FMIC with a stock kit of some kind I would say that you might be able to get it to work.
