Default TTi kit questions

Alright. I am trying to decide where to take my car in the mod department. I am 98% sure I am going with the TTi kit. But I need a little feedback from you guys that have the kit, or you turbo gurus. First off, my car is pretty much stock, and will stay that way even after the addition of the turbo kit. Basically what I mean is the turbo kit, asp pulley, a tune, and a rear end after a while...these will be all the mods, and that would be for a few years until I have a better cash flow. How will the kit perform on a completely stock engine. Should I add a larger headgasket to lower my compression? Also should I toss in a comp918 kit somewhere along the way to strengthen my valvetrain? I dont have much money, and it will pretty much be a budget build. Plus once it is running I want to keep it running. Please gimme a little insight.

Thanks
Fry

going FI is never cheap.
first off what will be your imeadiate power goals?
where you thinking of going witht the T61 or T76?
lowering your CR will help, you can turn up the boost alittle farther.

main thing to prep your motor if you want to keep it stock. Id get some 6.0L heads, valvesprings. Its very imortant you upgrade your fuel to, so get injectors and a walbro intank pump.

those should keep your car running better and less chance of something going wrong.

Well I will be going with the T61 setup and the kit comes with a fuel pump, and I am going to get 38lb svo's. My power goals are basically in the 400+hp range. I dont really have specific goals, just to increase my power, tq, and performance. If I lower my compression with a bigger headgasket, and add a 918 kit will that be suficent enough to handle the power without breaking? Eventually I will add the 6.0 heads, but that wont be for a while.

Thanks

Basically what I really need to know is will a stock ls1 handle this kit while I slowly build upon the turbo platform. I probalby wont go with a built block until way down the road.

I have a tuner that can do the tuning for me. (Jason at fbodycentral.com) They are the closest shop to me that has Edit, and I have talked with him about his FI tuning abilities. He has done several turbo cars, and is pretty reputable with ls1edit which is the tune I am going with.

Thanks

I have nothing but problems so far with mine the car breaks up after 4200rpm and only made 380 rwhp at 8 PSI with the T76 kit. I don't really regret buying the kit yet because i know the car will be sick when it's right. When i do regret it is when you see it for sale. Theres only a number of things it could be i'll keep you posted on how it turns out.
