Default Another great BOV question

Can I buy any old BOV? I have a P1SC pushing (well going to be pushing) 8psi. I found this one on e-bay and was wondering if you just order the BOV and hook it up? Is there more to it?

KNockoff Tial BOV. They are crap! Remember you are trying to protect a 2000$ blower and an engine... dont skimp

Not trying to get buy on the cheap side. I guess I should have worded my question a bit better!
What do I need to look for when buying a BOV?
Do you just weld it on and hook up vac line and go?
Is there adustments that need to be made?
Should I mount the BOV before or after intercooler?
I put that link on to get an idea. What is a good price for a BOV?

Yea I don't know much about these BOV's and I don't want to get into
something without some help.

Bov's are adjusted through the spring pressure. You can swap springs out get more or less pressure on the diaphram/piston. It is pretty much just hook up a vacuum line. The BOV will go anywhere between the maf and intercooler. It must stay before the maf no matter what. Most people around here like the Tial Bov's that run around 200-220$

You will need the correct flange for the size BOV you have. I had mine tig'd right after the passenger side intercooler. Just where the stock ati surge goes. He cut the 2 inch pipe, welded the flange, and she just snaps right on there. I paid 45 bones for the flange and the tig.... Gotta love those ricers

By the way....buy a new one, I've learned that buying things on ebay is taking a risk. When it comes to a big investment like a blower, go new and be done with it.....

The spring that regulates the pressure > I seen 9psi - 12 psi so on and so forth; If your not running say 9psi, and running 8 psi of boost what would happen? Is it better for the spring to be a higher rated psi or lower? or does it have to be perfect?

I'll be getting a new one for sure > no use saving 50 buck and hurting my HUGE investment!
