Well I cant get an answer in the Auto section. You guys probably dont go in there.
For those of you who saw my horrible dyno I know the reason.
The converter is FUBAR. I went to the track and ran a 13.4 @ 106 - 2.1 60'. I was seeing 4.5#'s
Ok the stall I have in there now, TCI SSF3500, is slipping really bad 5200rpms at half throttle. 2nd time I have had problems with it, first time it took the tranny with it. Time for something better.
What converters are you guys using with your FI setup? What stall speed?

I dont want the mustang boys to see a procharged LS1 run 13's

Are you saying that smaller stalls are better for FI?
Reason I ask is because I have a Yank SS3800, and I am considering the D1SC

Not neccessarily. Because I have a big cube motor with good torque the tight stall works well for me. I would say the popular range is 2800-3800. I had the py3400e in for awhile but it was to loose for my liking. My car is setup for street use (though I do test & tune on the weekends a lot).

LS1BlackTA ran 10.98 with a D1SC and the SY3500. I got an Sy3500 with around 10,000 miles on it for sale. I recently swapped in a M6. PM me if interested. I'm asking for 500 bucks. New will cost you over 800.

Kraz, what does your converter flash to?
I am running a T400 Yank, it started out a a TP4000, it currently stalls up to 4300 on the brake in my car. I shift it at 7000 and it drops to 5500. For a street car this size is great. I"m looking for less shift drop so I had Mike @ Yank go thru the verter two weeks ago and make some adjustments. I can handle 4500 stall but more than that would bug me.
I'd go 3500 stall at a minimum for someone who wants to run semi decent numbers at the track. To small, and it will not get into as much boost off the line, and too tight, and it will lug the motor down too much on shifts. Too big and you will spend the run in 3rd gear with hella slippage.

The SY3500 will hold a 150 shot with no problems. It handled 8psi on a D1SC with no problems.
For the street/strip...Sy3500
For the track...PY3600
I had 3.73 gears, drag radials, cutout, lid, full weight and ran 12.65 at 109mph. That's not even with an Ls6 intake. Buy it..you won't regret it. I had it for about a year...the thing is like new. Save the 350 bucks.
