Default Track times for any STS kits yet?

I remember someone saying that they were going to get some track times for their STS kit recently and I haven't seen the results posted. Does anyone actually have any times yet or ??? I am DEFFINATELY not a hater, I have almost evrything ready to go for mine, just need a few more dollars to make her go. I just wanted to see if anyone actually had times yet?

I think a 5400 pound truck ran 12.6@106 with the kit. That is pretty good if you ask me Stock times were in the 16s I think?

Yes ,
I agree TOTALLY! Obviously so, otherwise I wouldn't have invested as much as I have in the same style set-up. I want to know F-bod times though. Seems like no one has them at all, only dyno results which aren't worth much when your going for a solid 11 secong car dyno numbers only give you an idea. I think the kit is GREAT, don't get me wrong, I'd just like to know what to expect when I finally get mine finished and go to the track. Oh well, I'll just have to keep waiting till I can finish mine off and go to the track.

Thx for the props guys

I was seriously thinking of putting a kit on my now back to stock 00' T/A. If I do get around to it I'll defiantely get track #s. Till then I am trying to get the 3 guys in my area to make the commute to the track and at least give you guys something to chew on ET/MPH wise.

Thanks man! I think I may just have to say the hell with it and spend the cash. Just trying to get 100% out of debt and have my wife quit working to stay at home with our daughter. Priorities

Justin, any of your friends with the STS on an f-body race a Subaru STI about a week ago? Someone found my site and called me asking about a kit for a Z-71. He said he raced a car with the STS and he couldnt believe how fast it was.

Not sure mate, The onlly guys I know of in the area all hang out at Rick's shop and only 2 of the cars have the kit fully installed and running. There is one car in the area I work in but I don't know if he actually will race people or if he just cruises the local hang out spots and revs. LOL

If you get a call from a WS6 (6-spd exhaust, not sure of anything else) owner that only pulled 1 car on a Z71, up to about 120mph then that was me today... Damn 3rd gear wouldn't engage the first time I nailed it, so we tried again and most of what he gained came from the time it took my truck to spool up. LOL

My truck is running 13 second 1/4's with a base setup STS kit. Only running 5lbs of boost for now. I'm having to baby it off the line to keep from blowing the street tires off. When I get my slicks I'll let her rip and see if I can get in the 12's.

I'll have my 2000 Camaro SS back from the shop after a motor overhaul next week, and will post some times weekend after next.

Fun items added include Diamond Racing turbo pistons, Eagle forged rods, Z06 cam/valvesprings, Lucas 42.5 lb injectors, 255 lph inline fuel pump, custom head porting, Nelson tune, and TCI 3500 rpm lockup stall.

I'll be running a stock STS kit with methanol, with the boost cranked up to 10psi. Unfortunately, I'll be running on 17" wheels/tires, without drag radials.

We'll see what she'll run....

Let us know man. I just ordered my IC, only things to get now are the oil pump and fittings/tubing/hoses.

I'm very impressed w/ F8L's times, but just note that his STS kit is far from the out-of-the-box kit.

Thx mate

I've got about $5200 into my setup as far as the turbo kit, injectors, fuel pump, FMIC and piping, Alky injection. Add on the price for the turbo upgrade (I cant remember how much that ran me) LOL

So definately no tan out of the box setup but even 5psi on a stock truck is pretty damn cool since you are generally working with stock timing tables. On my truck the boost is so high that on 5psi I dont have enough timing to be quick. LOL

If you'll notice from jcfreak, his stock truck is running 13's with just the basic kit. Put some DR's on and he will get in the 12's. Just think what would happen with a little more boost and a stall.

As soon as I get the program like I want it. I'm turning up the boost and putting a little shot of NX on it, and some drag slick. Then some injectors and a 3000 stall. Then we'll be bumping the 11 second times. Cant wait

Man, you guys with trucks are FAST with these kits. The guys with the F-bods must not want anyone to know how fast they are though I'd love to have one of the newer style LSX trucks that runs that fast. Anyone want to trade???
