STS before/after dyno w/ 5 lbs boost
We finally got time to install the STS turbo kit on my daily driven 2001 Z28 today. The final result w/ 5 lbs of boost was a gain of 101 rwhp
My car is an automatic w/ stock torque converter and bolt-on's (Thunder Racing long tube headers w/ custom y-pipe, ASP pulley.) The before runs were done w/ the Hooker cat-back on the car as well. The best I've ever run in the car is 12.25 about a month ago.
Now, if it would just quit pouring down rain so I can get to really drive the car and get it back to the track.

Yes, we are now carrying the STS kits. This was our first install on one and we were trying to get a feel for the quality and performance of the kits before we committed to becoming a dealer. Needless to say, we're pretty happy
Jerry, I'll try to make it to the track Wednesday or next Friday if it doesn't rain!!

One question though. What was on the car when it dyno'd 340rwhp?

Angie,
I'm so glad to hear that you guys are now carrying the STS kits. I am leaning toward getting one over going NA. Your results have most likely pushed me over the edge. I want one!

I can't wait to see what she does with the STS. I am betting on 11.5s or so.

My mph was 113.64 w/ a 1.86 60' time.
(I corrected this when I actually looked at my time slip!)

I didn't think stock TC cars could pull better than 2.0 60s. Car runs much better at the track than the dyno with that trap. Also room for improvment with TC and gear swap. Of course now those are not necessary with the turbo. Maybe a small stall to help bring up boost before launch.

Nice #'s. Do you have any plans to put a filter sock on that k&n? How worried are you about it's location and picking up more crud? I have to come up with a creative way of routing hoses on my Incon as I'm putting it back together, and considered a filter on the underside as the STS kits.
