Default New "TWINs IN TOWN" FLP

I READ alot here. But, don't post much. I went from a single turbo Z06 to a 383 TT custom built by Dan Bills at FLP. Car is set at 11lbs of boost right now due to fuel issues. Next month a custom fuel system is going in. Just thought I would share. ENJOY

V-bolt clamps. I have used Burns stainless ones and a set that I bought from LG motorsports (I think they are SPD ones, but not sure). The ones I got from LG were much nicer than the Burns ones. The LG ones were machined (as are the SPD ones) and the Burns ones were stamped (not sure if this had anything to do with the size I used). That being said, the actual clamps on the Burns was nicer, but the LG flanges were nicer. They are really nice, but a bit pricey.

LG is a machined peice, similar to SPD, but a little less money. Burns uses what is called a "Marmon" style clamp.

Nice Vette! What size turbos? Gravity drain?

What single did you have before this?

Hey John, you are right, great memory. Yes I just has an offer from FLP to do a twin kit that Dan was working on. I was going to do the 427C5R but after I saw the price I knew the 383 would be just FINE Anyway the injectors are 75lb. Right now I have the racetronics fuel pump and BAP. It's not cutting it. So it's tuned on 11lbs right now so I can drive it before the snow comes My car has been in on shop or another since JUNE) It goes bacl to FLP on Nov. 13th for the custom fuel system, rails ect. I also did a targa conversion this summer as well.

Take care
Gary

looks real nice. I would love to see some good track times. Hmmm, it does look like it's running a little rich at 4400-4500 rpms, is that a 11:1 ratio I see? Than again, 13+ on the lean side near the end? I guess you have some more tuning to do?

That was the first run on the Dyno. There were about 10 more after that. I just don't have them. But the fuel system was running out as it started to build power. Goal is 700-750rwhp on pump gas. Should not be a problem. I was amazed how good it feels out of boost with a CR of 8.8:1 Should have the "Money" #'s by Nov. 22

Yes, with the new fuel system we should be able to go between 6.5 to 7K. Lbs of boost should take atleast 16lbs. Shoud be FUN

Looks nice. Any pics of the manifolds? If not, can you say if it is a header style manifold or log manifold? Why only 2.5" for the exhaust? That sounds awfully restrictive for twin T-66's. I am about to help one of my friends build a twin 3" for his twin turbo Gen 1 SBC in a third gen, and on another friends car that we are building just with twin 60-1's we are going to go with 3.5" Downpipes.

They are true headers. Check out my site you can see a little, it's just really tight. 2.5 down pipes are fine. No back pressure issues. We slowed down the boost response because it was breaking loose the rear street tires when you pushed the pedal down a third. Anyway the guy that built this (Dan Bills) has a ton of Turbo experince, including his 2000rwhp mustang. Check here for pictures
