Question Map Sensor Upgrade?

Is is recommended to change to a different MAP sensor when you are running a FI system? Do you have to do anything special in the tune with LS1 Edit or HP Tuners?

Any info on this is very much appreaciated!!!

Bill

I've heard you can use one from a 89 TTA. Supposed to read like 3 bar of boost. Not sure about the tuning part. You're the tuning guy.

Thanks correct, not everyone changes them, some do just for tunning purposes. You should ask your tunner if it would make a difference. All depends on how the particular person like to tune.

No one changes the map sensor. You will be fine running the stock one. It will max it out, but you aren't running speed density if you are still planning on running the MAF

I just trying to learn more about tuning FI cars.

So basically, if I keep my MAF, my stock MAP is fine, got it!

What's this about running a TTA MAF sensor?

Bill, we could do the tuning to my PCM. Wanna look into this further?
