ask me in another week , i am hoping for 600rwhp on pump and 800rwhp on some better gas, this is thru a power robbing 4l80e and tcase. we will see.

more info would help. in almost every way a t88 would be better for a 408 but you can make some killer power with a t76.

I'd go with a twin kit or custom setup. Twin 60-1 minimum.

A T76 will work on a 408 but it will become a restriction at higher boost levels. Your backpressure #'s will sky rocket with a QMP setup...you will probably see pressure variance of 4:1. Also you will reach the choke limit fairly quickly since with a QMP system you can only run an on-center housing which limits you to the smaller q-trim wheel. A T88 would be the best choice with a tang. housing.

You can see the air consumption of a 408 LS1 below.....you can cross reference this with the compressor maps on the site. That will tell you where you fall in the efficiency range of the turbo.

QMP on a 408 = big nono, ask Warbird about that.
The log style turbo kits work ok for moderate HP levels, but have had problems at higher HP levels like you planing, i wouldnt push on past 600rwhp if it was me.
youd be better with the TTi race kit or a custom, and like Jose explained the T76 will probably be to small if you want to push it.

hmm, i hope you guys are wrong . my kit is prety much the same as the qmp kit. on a 6.0 i am seeing around 800fwhp. with the 408 and a little more boost i hope to see at least ~900fwhp(aprox 720rwhp for me).

if 900fwhp can be made is seems like you could say yes it works. if you look at the efficency charts of the compresor you can see it isn't ideal at all but when you calculate the final power the intercooler efficency has a lot more to do with it than the compresor efficency. i would think that would be a nice streetable 9sec car.
