I am running a 4'' pulley but I have a 3.7'' sitting in the garage.....I am fighting my better judgement on putting it on. I want to keep this thing as safe as possible.
So you think I should go with some 3.73's over 3.42's? What kind of gains would gears have for my setup?
MPG isnt a real big concern, I drive to work with it everyday but its Highway miles.....so the car is in lock up most of the time.
Would the track gains warrant the cost of the 3.73 thick gears?

I ask because I ran a 12.49 with basically the same mods as you minus the cam, fuel stuff and procharger, but I had DRs (3680lbs)
BTW

2.73s....I like emWhen mine was new i ran a 12.7 @104 with a 3500stall, 3.73, LT's no cats, nito's and a baby 212/218 cam.... after the ATI kit with 4 psi i ran 12.0-12.2 @ 116 with a worse 60' Then with 11 psi i ran 11.51 @123......
you should be 11's with 5-6 psi....
you should be 11's with 5-6 psi....

It's all in your 60'.... The author of this thread has more than enough MPH to run a mid 11 with a good 1.6 60'..
When you said you ran 12.49 without a cam, fuel, supercharger and such, you forgot to mention your MPH. In an auto I highly doubt you were anywhere near 115mph.
Not unless you got some serious weight reduction and race in the land of magical ETs.. ie HRP LOL I have a 3.7'' pulley that I am scared to put on, I want to keep this beast as safe as possible.
Kyle
you should be safe with 7 lbs if you pulley down.
have fun!

Get some 3.73's in there and some BFG's or ET streets and have some more fun.
