The current I/C Corvette kit from Magnuson is the basis of this kit, and it sells for roughly $6K. Magnuson is pretty strict, so I don't see it happening any cheaper than that. We're willing to delete some stuff from the Corvette kit, and add our parts, and match that price, but we have to be able to order in volume to do that. Probably 10 kits at a time. The reason this is taking so long is we're trying to work out every last detail in advance, so when you are able to order a kit, you get everything you need in the time promised, and you can install it, and use it without any hassles.

I understand the suspense is killing you, but hang in there, it will be well worth it!

last I talked with magnsum they told me they were looking at making a it that will clear the cowl, with a lower profile blower, always before they said they couldn't but now with so many people requesting them they are trying again. The guy told me to call back in June for any more info. So if this happens, what will you guys do?

Run up a credit card or hopefully have enough saved by then.

So id be able to spray a small shot (50 dry) with this Supercharger??

I was looking under my engine bay today to see where the problem lies. I realize that the motor is set further back where a centered blower would hit the cowl. But why not make it off centered to the front? In other words, move the blower unit forward and angle the manifold down in the rear. If you can visualize this you might know what im talking about. Of course, as the blower moves forward the pulleys location changes, and the slope of the hood becomes more of a clearance factor. But it seems to me this might help.

The only reason im a fan of the 03/04 cobras is because of the whine. My buddys got a lightning with pullies...
It's the only bitch I love to hear whine.

that would cost alot more $ for development, this is basically the vette kit with the offset and junk. Hell, if I had the resources, I'd just buy the vette kit and install it, I am sure its the exact same components, minus having the nice cowl template! But with the vette luxury tax no wonder the price is 6K. Dont get me wrong I have been waiting for this kit to be released for over a year, and still waiting.

The thing I see happening is if Magnuson does decide to produce a kit specifically for F-bodies, they will do it by shrinking the intake manifold to give them clearence, just like the GTO kit. This is all good, except that doing that will hurt the power. When you're dealing with a blower setup that has limited potential to begin with, even a small loss is a problem.

Somewhere between days and weeks!! I'm getting the last of the new parts that I need each day! I've done a lot of other upgrades to this car at the same time, so it's taken a while, but I'm getting a little closer every day, believe me, I am just as anxious as anybody since I'm the first one that gets to drive it!!!!!!

StangKillaLS1...there would be a belt drive issue! The line up problem with mixed Vette and Fbody acc was settled by a member from LS1 with simple parts !

If you buy the Vette Magna you´ll end up with parts you cant use / need
The Handheld tuner and the front mounted IC would be becoming Ebay Items.

The price 6000$ is another !
The F1 headunit runs for 2500$ will support XXXXHP!

Lots of Ford guys are swapping to a 2,4 KB cause this blower is far better than the eaton unit and pulls some nice HP 700+ RWHP on an '03 Cobra.. http://www.kennebell.net/supercharge...bra03_2400.htm

The heat debate on the GTO cars with magna (see Hot Rod) is settled , Magna is running a new tune (lean fuel condition before)and the fuel cross over lines are supposed to help kill all the bugs!

On other boards peeps report from a kit soon but look how long this thread is going on????????????

6000$ and 10.5 sec on the 1/4 mls??????????? less weight no cowl fabbing
3000$ for heads
1000$ on a cam
1000$ on intake
500$ on a TB

How do you run a FMIC with a roots blower in place of your manifold? The Magnuson blower has the IC in the unit under the blower itself.

The small on on the left goes under the magna sandwiched between lower and upper manifold...the bigger on is to be set up in the front near the water rad.

Hope this helps!

In my opinion both IC are way to small........
