I am wondering what the power capabilities are with an unported 317 head. I am putting in larger valves, 2.055/1.60 of course. How much power has been made with what boost. For my application, I am using a stock cube LS1 7.5-8.0:1 compression and 2 60-1 turbos. Planning on over 20 lb of boost, Pumpgas only.

i dont think the heads will hold you back much. you will have to run a little more boost to get the same numbers as a guy with heads. with pump gas and low compresion i have no idea but with good gas i bet you could go over 1000rwhp easy with those turbos, even with stock 6.0 heads.

btw, i will be running a low compresion408 with stock 6.0heads(for now) soon. i am going to see just how much hp i can make with pump gas and then on better gas. i really think with pump i will see over 600rwhp and with the good fuel i will be likely be limited by my fuel system or turbo but still over 700rwhp. this is thru a HD 4wd driveline.

so parish your saying that if he bolt some stock meaning unported 317 heads on his motor he can make like 800 hp man thats sick. i have the same set up and now i know i can slide by with not paying all that money for the head port job and can use the money for my turbos. thats great news

the only diference with what you are talking about here is seting it up for most hp on pump gas. i really dont know how that will work into things. for me with stock heads and good gas if i want more power i just turn the ****.

I never put the car back on the dyno after the change to 6.0l heads. However the car did trap at almost 129.5 at 3860+ raceweight and a 50/50 mix of 110 and 93. 10-11 psi boost.
I believe that should be well over 600 rwhp through an M6 and a 12 bolt.
