Default Finally got on the dyno, what do ya think?

I finally got the car tuned yesterday. This is with about 11lbs. of boost through Hooker longtubes, no cats, and the stock muffler. The rest is in the sig. The car made 635/617. A/F was 11.8 across the board and 0 knock. Peak power was at about 5500 though. Once it hit about 5000 the power starts to level off. The boost gets to 11 and stays there. I don't think the belt is slipping cause its a smooth curve but I could be wrong. Could the blower and intercoolers be at there limit? I'll try to post the graph later. Let me know what ya think of the power though.

Those are some really good #'s, that car would be well over 700rwhp if you boosted it up

Great numbers! Do you plan on ever running more boost? That built 408 is begging for more!

Very nice numbers!!!

If your belt was slipping you probably would have a slight rich condition... ie belt slips, equal less boost, and with your added fuel it would probably show on your A/F.

Thanks! I'm definetly happy with how it turned out, especially for it being my first motor I've built. I really like the torque curve, 500 at 3200 climbing to 617 at 5400 before it finally starts to drop. I thought I was gonna get more boost. It's the SDCE 8-rib with a 3.4 blower pulley. The boost hits 11psi at about 5200 and just stays there. No drop or increase. The belt doesn't show any signs of slip yet either. The way the curve was going up to 5k, it would have been right at 700rwhp at 6k. Could the blow off valves be leaking, or anything else other than slip that would keep the boost from rising more? A couple guys at the shop that tuned it thought it looked like the blower just couldn't make any more, sound plausable?

Nice, still running the twin IC's if so....even nicer. Don't think the blower is out of steam yet. Where is your tensioner set at? Get the intake side breathing a lil better and go for 700

Yes, I'm still running the stock twin IC's. The heads are from West Coast cylinder head, they flowed something like 335 at 600''. I'm not sure where the tensioner is set at but it's as tight as I could get it by myself. I'll probably try having a friend help and see if I can get it tighter, it felt good though. Has anyone seen any noticable gains going to a bigger air filter than what it comes with? It's definetley fun on the street!!
