Vortech YS install pics.
I got my YS and started installing it today. I just need to do some minor trimming to make it fit better. I might have to get rid of the stock steel hood and get one with a lil more hight.

I would be conerned about putting the maff before the blower
With the Bypass being after the blower it has the potential of not reading correctly
I would put the maff after the Blowoff/bypass so it meters air going into the throttle body thus into the engine

Did you get this from RMCR? I know that they just sent one out. My car is down there getting a new blower and I saw them putting a YS kit together. Just curious...

I'll be down there on Monday. I'll mention the missing hose to Mike and Mark.

I'll do one of 3 things with mine, add spray, go to a nice YSI or dump it all and build a turbo setup
The top mounted Vortech head units make for tight routing but it's not to hard to do. But you'll probably have to create a new discharge pipe to do it.
The biggest benefit of the maf post blower is a MUCH cooler running head unit and about a 40' IAT temp load removed from the intercooler at cruise. Recirculating the hot compressed air just is not a good thing. Letting the bypass dump to atmosphere keeps a constant cool supply of air flowing through the blower. The head unit runs a great deal cooler that way ,which is always good.
I also think throttle response is better with it post blower.
In the spring I'll probably begin a 2 bar SD tune and do away with the maf altogether.

On the vortech setup, its next to impossible to put the maf as a blowthrough setup.

i agree on the Aftercooler. you will definately have a restriction with the aftercooler. i fought the idea untill i really did my research and went with a FMIC. the last thing you want is a restriction from your intercooling system. the aftercooler is good to about 500 hp tops. it will work but you are going to have to spin the blower harder to make the same power.

I will be getting it tuned in a few weeks we'll see how it works out.

That aftercooler worked ok for my T-Trim at 12psi/650rwhp @ 1100-1200cfm.
I'd like to see the limit of it. Let us know how it works out.
