What is your setup? I haven't of any electronic boost controllers that work well(not in that price range anyway). I'd say stick with a manual one (they're only like $40) and spend the leftover money on other much needed components.

I had that controller in my 300zx and did not like it. Very tuff to dial in right. It does have a very cool look to it but I don't like it. I don't see why it wouldn't work in you car, maybe someone here has tried it can chime in.

I am plannin on have low boost at about 4-5 psi and then high boost set to 8-9psi and all i have to do is just push the button, instead of getting out of the car and turing the manual controller and only guessing how much psi i went up

Yeah thats nice but there is more to apexi then just hooking it up and pushing a button. It has to be tuned to your car unless they changed them in the last 2 years. For a 150 bucks its worth a try if you don't like it then turn around a sell it.

I wouldn't do it but like I said for the price try it if you don't like it sell it then. Goodluck.

Does that price include the 2 stage solinoid or just the in car controller? Hope it works ok, overboosting is expensive on a stock block.

IMO EBC's do an excellent job. The Apexi is a very good unit, and can be fitted to any car. BUT, it is a real PITA to setup.

It has many features, and really is a top end product, but for boost pressures as low as 8psi, I wouldnt bother.
If you were using say 30psi, and had some spool/surge or overboost issues, then yes, for sure.
The Apexi is more suite to extreme applications. ( I assume you are referring to the AVC-R with blue vac display ?? )

If you really do want an EBC, Id go for something like a Greddy Profec B or Blitz DSBC. Much easier to use and setup, and they work just as well within the boost range you will be using.

But as I said, for such a low boost pressure, a manual valve would work almost as well.

i dont know anything about that unit but i do have a blitz eboost controler and it kicks ***. just turn the **** and bam a new boost setting, it is very acurate. my wg spring is an 8psi spring and i have adjusted anywhere from 9psi up to 18psi with consistant results.

i would give it a try, just make sure it is complete.
