Really, people should wait until cars start using the kit to hate on it. The price and the power potential of that kit are pretty tough to beat.

If you think about this, it makes good economic sense. Most people have the capability to get someone to fab up thin wall charge side tubing no problems. This means they cut overhead by not having a jig and the stock in their shop to do it which means they can souly concentrate on what they are good at, fabbing the exhaust and down pipe setup. I mean, his welds look awsome, so you'd have to think that they aren't an issue and as long as things mount up, you're good to go.

I also think Phamspeed is doing a good job, especially for the price. I could really care less if my manifolds didn't look like the next guys, as long as they fit and function.

If you want to bitch about it, get your *** out in the garage and make your own set! Enough said.

So what would minor differences like that do to performance? I understand they may cause fitment issues, but would those little differences really screw up performance on a turbo kit? I don't know, but I don't think so.

Those slight differences would not affect performance one bit. Those guys are bitching about **** they know nothing about. If the manifolds fit, it doesn’t matter if they are a little different. Every product a custom manufacturer makes is going to have slight variations. I guess that means if Harlan made another set of his turbo manifolds and they didn’t look exactly like his other set, they wouldn’t make good power. That’s just dumb!

I just wish the people who have already bought this kit would post some numbers. That would shut’em up!
Later,
Dave

First, who cares if they are an inch off...they fit right?

Second, why would you not use a jig on stuff like this?

When people start posting numbers I think a lot of the bashers will shut the hell up.

Are there plans for a kit for the LS2 GTO, or is the compression too high to go with FI?

Oh, well I haven't seen any bashing in the FI section lately. I guess there are bashers in the other sections though...I do recall seeing some negative thoughts in the kills section now that I think about it.

i think thats due to the ackward location and style of the sts kit. people don't trust what they don't understand or what is different from the norm.

Hey, it all has to follow Bernulli's (sp?) principal, where ever the smallest part in the exhaust sys is, is where you'd have the most problems, but from the size of the primaries it isn't there and it's not like this is F-1 type care tech behind internal engine aerodynamics.

i like this system. the STS is out of the question for me cause of the dirt and dust and a little mud i go though, the filter would be clogged in a week, and the roads around here would rip off the turbo. i want to be blown, and this may be my answer.

I posted a PM to John (LT-7) about his product and he did get right back to me. Of course we didn't talk about terms and conditions too much but talk to him about down payments if you're interested now and locking in a price (I'd really think about it even more if I had just gotten done with school, started a new job, and trying to put some more $$$ in the bank for my first "performance/dream" car). Lead time is about a week for him, so I can say he seems timely and from a business perspective doesn't have that much to worry about inventory so he can keep his costs down. To bad he doesn't have a donor car or someone willing to be a true gunihie (sp?) pig. Oh I can't wait till the end of tax season for the check with the OT in it.
