Default Max boost? Stock everything 120 octane

New to forced induction, please help me out.

Planning on building a streetable '02 F-body with stock everything from MAF to tailpipes. On 120 octane fuel, what is the max boost you recommend? This will be through an intercooler so help me out with the IAT requirements.

Will a LS6 intake leak at this pressure?

TIA!

Id say about 8 to 10 psi. I will be running at least 10. But I have stage 2 LQ9 heads to lower my compression.

I'd say 17-20psi. I'm doing 21psi with 117 (C16) and a built engine.

Thanks for quick response. I'm studying feasibility between FI and raised CR. It will be easier for me to tune with new heads, but I like the idea of a FI system. Albiet, I am a little concerned with tuning for streetability on FI at high boost.

Pro Stock - can the stock intake manifold seal against 20 psi? At 21 psi, what temperature is your air charge?

dynedta - fuel system will be completely altered everything including tank and injectors. It will not be short of fuel.

I think the better question is how much power are you looking to make without obviously gernading a stock long block motor?

We have ran the stock intake to 30.5psi with no issues.

I'd say the valves will float before you see much power. Keeping everything stock. You need to do some research.

I ran 12-15 psi on my stock shortblock with stock gaskets and head bolts. Made over 600rwhp through a TH400 and a 9".

With 120 race gas, you could make 900rwhp in theory but what parts won't make it there?
