yea, i kinda thought they were by now. the thing is i saw a post some time ago by Bickel about his car running 6's too, but the way the class rules are for him or something it runs low 7's. i hope this wasn't supposed to be your secret weapon Bickel cause it's out now!

Both of those cars have dipped into the 6's, but run 7.30's/7.20's consistantly. The last time I talked with Steve Petty I teased him about having to step it up some more even though they are consistantly the fastest Outlaw 10.5 group right now.

All in all.... I was one of the biggest ones that doesn't believe this happened, but the more I think about it, the more I don't care. All those little times won't matter in a few months when all the BIG cars get done that are being built. And if they didn't run the number and they are lying about it, what a horrible business idea, but im sure that is not the case.

our original plans were to run the Super Street 10.5 class the first year, and then graduate to the Outlaw class, but the switch to Outlaw was going to be so small (All we needed were different wheels/tires and a 106mm turbo) that we decided to just do that.
The Mineral Grey GT you saw on HotRodGossip.com was 'Turbo' Rob Valden's car. I believe his plans are to run the Super Street class in the PRO/Edelbrock series, as well as the Super Street 10.5 class in The Clash Of The Titans. We're very much looking forward to seeing him run this season. I think he'll do very well. He's got a great team of guys behind him.
We aren't going to make the first race in Oklahoma, but we will make the second. You should come and stop by our pits during the event. It's always fun to put a face to these internet screen names.

i think i saw that car come off the trailer one day at AES last fall. i was like...... i love a surprise. i've seen a couple of their cars at Byron and one guy was running one in a car that was in the Speed Inc. open house vid. very nice! i've got a competitors motor, but i'm not ashamed to say it's built by Fast Times Motorworks!!! i've wanted one of their motors for 10 years and finally got the money together to do a project running one of them. are you out of the Grove area by any chance? pm me if you feel like talking.
later,
Dave

Diamond Mike, the blue car should run a littie faster than the the black one, once it's sorted. Maybe 7.70ish? The powertrains are the same. Chassis differs between the two.
Love those Diamond Pistons, got a nice custom set in my own car. Very high quality pieces. Used a lot of Diamond pistons when I was a Advanced Development Engineer for Buick back in the GN/GNX days, playing with turbo and supercharged V6 stuff.
