WTF STS?! Look at this...
Okay I got over that... and having to modify other pieces to make them work correctly... but NOW could someone please answer me this... how the hell am I suppose get enough clearance between the charge pipe and the PS pump and serpentine belt? Or do I just start the engine and let the belt clearance the lines
? Seriously, It seems like wherever I try to move the pipe, and the lines, I get zero clearance, or actually stuff getting pinched between the belt. So what's going on? STS doesn't mention anything about this in their manual (or a lot of other junk it would've been nice to have a heads up on). Now I know why STS doesn't show any good pictures of this area. Well, all the best STS guys are on this board, so no sense calling anyone again. Any insight would be helpful before I go crazy
. Oh, and don't say cut and re route the PS cooler lines. I shouldn't have to do that. Check out the pictures

I would have to think somebody has installed an STS on a SS or WS6 with the PS cooler.
There customer service is awesome. Just email them the pics and ask whats up.
Also some of the STS resellers here will probably be able to chime in.
I'm sure Billy will chime in here soon though.

... I talked to Slowhawk, and he said I need to push the lines between the pipe and PS pulley and there should be enough room... but I'm sorry there just isn't any room. It's like the square peg in the round hole thing...

. I'll take some pics later...BTW Jammer, how are the twins?

I just need to finish the wiring and a few other things while I wait for a stock I pipe. I couldn't weld it if I wanted to. The place where the inlet pipe needs to go goes PAST the bend. Stupid flowmaster

Man.. this thing better make some serious power for giving me so much grief.

The oiling system is installed and just need to make the last wiring connection on that to finalize it. Whats left for me is plugs, fluids, and some optional things I want to do first, like relocating the fuel line path and the brake line path. Still need a few bolts for this and that... I am hitting the dyno for a run on April 26, so I should have some low-boost prelim numbers on the twins then. I still need to figure out the boost line config.
Keep on truckin, you'll get er done.

Well here are some pictures after cutting the radiator hose some, and taking out the retaining clip. Big difference! It isn't finally assembled yet; I have to take it apart to clean it. The pipes and silicone have crap on the inside from being taken off and on so much, and being left open to the air. No problem, I might be able to gain some more clearance by taking another 3/8" off the hose. But it is really good right now; the pictures don't do it justice.
All in all I'm satisfied with everything now. I think maybe I should write an expanded installation manual for STS now

High Performance Pontiac magazine today and the car had and SLP "I" pipe. It is close, but would have to be altered some to fit. By far the easiest thing to do is get a stock I pipe and it works great. Thats what we did and it makes fast and easy.
NavySS, glad it made it easier for you.
