Default Started Mounting the Intercooler

After the engine bay was painted, Brian started cutting up the front of the car for the intercooler. Here are some pics of the latest work. We plan to have something fabricated around the front of the intercooler for safety. I know the intercooler isn't exactly centered in the pictures. We still have to redrill the hole and mount it firm. The pictures are just to get an idea of how it will fit.

I am the one behind the camera on this part of the project. I wasn't feeling so hot about cutting up my own car. The arms that you see belong to Brian (Brains) and Dale (Daley).

Looking good. Can't wait to see it on the stop in Nashville when I pick up the tour this summer. Just curious, you thought about using a blacked out billet grille?

Dale is skinny, but unfortunately my arms are still alot smaller than that

Not sure which brand the IC is. We picked it up from a member on this board. We are using the Tial BOV and wastegate. We are not going to paint the grille black because it would not really go with the rest of the car. We will most likely paint it silver.

My Griffin FMIC has tabs welded to it and those tabs bolt to the old bumper supports.

Looks GREAT so far...gotta like the OBX style, very cost-effective.

I would imagine Zangel's arms are a bit better looking than that...

Looks good Zangel! Here's one I did a while back. This car is a 370 iron block with an Incon Stage II kit (twin t-37's) at 12 lbs of boost it made 750 rwhp on the stock PCM and 55lb. injectors. We turned up the Greddy Profec B to high boost and saw 18psi but the fuel wasn't there and we aborted the run. I took all the measurements myself and had Spearco make it for me and I made my own mounting brackets.
