Its not crap. Its basically labeled as a budget kit because the kit uses stock exhaust manifolds and the cost is cheap. Phamspeed does some very good work.

is it worth it to get an upgraded kit?

I have a catback exhaust, will it effect the sound of it?

The budget kit looks like a piece of cake to install. with The other kit the manifolds will be somewhat time consuming. The oil lines will probably be the most difficult thing on either kit.

As for the upgraded kit, it all depends what you want.

Not quite sure what the gains will be over the budget kit because there arent any numbers or track times for either kit, but the budget will be able to yield you quite a bit of power. If you're only aiming for 450-500 and nothing more, i dont see a reason to go with the upgraded kit. The budget kit will get you there just fine. If you're planning something major or would want to upgrade later, you should just get the upgraded kit.

400-500rwhp would be enough for me!

ah wise words from teacher...BUT!ill have to be content for awhile cause a stock sb will only handle so much,so its sort of like my wallet has a redline for now because of the block......although i do have that raceprepped LS6 block i been trying to sell....guess thats always an option

STS will eliminate your exhaust. This kit will keep it.

You will just have to connect the dp to the exhaust. It doesnt take the cat-back away.

Just wait till you find out on the dyno (add $500 for tune) you need a $4g fuel system just to feed that thing.
