Default Tapping into boost/vac line... Setup done but have ?'s

Hey guys,

I just finished installing my gauges inside the car, and built my brake boost line 'T' and I have some concerns...

1. This 'T' I built is ugly and fairly big...is there an easier way to do this or is this the way it's done??

2. The vacuum connections are going to be using 5/32 vac line, Is this line going to be okay to use for the MONDO bypass valve or should I use a bigger line?

Here's a pic of the vac/boost 'T' I built:

Here's the cobalt gauges all mounted up

careful with the plastic T's, after a while they get brittle and can break.
I would go with brass for everything.

good recomendation on the brass t instead of the plastic one. I'll pick one of those up tonight.

You guys don't think there will be any issues with the bypass valve with a 5/32 line ?

If you don't want to tap the brake line there is a vac line that comes off the back of the manifold and goes to the hvac near the ecm....easy access and easy to tap with the smaller vac tight rubber connectors.

Do you have a pic of where that might be? I looked for it over there but couldn't find it.

ProCharger has a nice black anodized vacuum manifold they put in with their Corvette kits. I used that on mine. It even came with the brass fittings. It turned out to be a clean looking setup.

ATI makes a real nice brake boost 'manifold' for their C5 kits. Has at least 3 pipe fittings, maybe more. Nice piece. No pics.

That is a really nice looking fitting, but i tapped in there for my race ready and it would not close completely. I then went to the other side, to the large fitting, and used larger tubing than came with it, and then i had 6 more lbs of boost, the line was 3/8 or 1/4 id i cant remember. For my guage i used the brake booster line.
