So you think that the All Pro's are much better than the AFR's or about the same?

really looks like price is within a hundred or so.

Which would you recommed for a 1000rwhp setup?

Thanks,
Tre

We will see that is why he is testing them both.

Todd,
I can live with that.

Nasty,
I will have someone PM you for the specs of the head you want.

PSJ,
No problem, I live to test!

Jammer,
I need a bigger helmet now.

BLK01SS,
They are both good heads. I would use the all pro for that much power based on material type and deck strength. They also will hold the valvetrain more stable.

I thought Kurt was very reasonable on the price he gave me for the last short block. A little more then most (and I talked to a lot of shops) but it was well worth it when I decided no to go through on finishing my short block because I sold the car - I had sent a good sized deposit and could not be more pleased with how the matter was settled. I was very very happy with the service I received overall and realistic time frame. If I decide to do another 'real' LSx motor there is no doubt W2W will be the one doing it.

Sometimes saving a few hundred bucks on a motor isnt worth it in the long run Dont be scared to give Kurt a call, you may be surprised what it costs compared to others.

He races against my cousin in Pro Mod (East Coast Doorslammers). I've seen that car take out 632ci. NOS cars like its nothing! I know that blue car is ULTRA light. That car is amazingly fast for such a small motor and the car goes pin straight! Here is a picture of my cousins car, which is usually racing when the Jensens are.

The car in my avatar is their new car. Are you thinking of the old car? The 468 SB on a big hit? The "undercover" pro mod car which was really a full tube, out law street car? (hell he even had it tagged in PA, and I think they still run it some). You're right, about the new one, carbon fiber everywhere. I'll try and post up some pics tonight from home of the new one. Every time I saw them @ cecil last year they couldn't keep from shaking the tires before the 330, else they woulda been running consistant 6.50s @ their 214 trap speed (in the heat of the day mind you). Problem is, no one ever beats Halsey @ Cecil Co. cause they own the track. Nothing like having unlimited testing @ one venue.

Another plus about Kurt and Wheel is you don't have to worry about your money disappearing or missing your build date.

IMO they're the most capable sponsor on this board.

Had planned on testing at 35psi, but the gates are causing surging that limited us to 30psi.

Peak Tq was 1208 at the flywheel @6000rpm (from my memory on rpm)
Peak HP was 1697 at the flywheel @7500rpm

Generally the head seemed very good with the head gaskets showing no signs of problems. I did weld all the water holes shut in the heads and then drilled them to match the SCE gasket to gain some surface area.

Kurt

It would be nice to see the dynograph for this run. Perhaps you could post it.
