Default AFR's on boost

Ran some tests on a 5.7 engine built for drag racing. We are finished with the AFR portion of the test and should be testing the All Pro next on the same shortblock.

Heads: AFR castings ported by ET performance for forced induction. 2.055 int 1.6 ex.
Intake: GM performance parts alum carb intake.
Camshaft, valvetrain: Cam Motion solid roller, jesel lifters. jesel 1/2-7/16 pushrods and Jesel custom rockers- 1.7 ratio.
Had planned on testing at 35psi, but the gates are causing surging that limited us to 30psi.

Peak Tq was 1208 at the flywheel @6000rpm (from my memory on rpm)
Peak HP was 1697 at the flywheel @7500rpm

Generally the head seemed very good with the head gaskets showing no signs of problems. I did weld all the water holes shut in the heads and then drilled them to match the SCE gasket to gain some surface area.

Mike, is that to say that they don't call them "All Pro" for nothing?

The head is o'ringed with a reciever cut in the block. I think the gates we used are to big, or the springs too soft in them causing boost surge. Not sure if you will have trouble with your set-up.
Intake was not ported.

Big Mike, tested the All Pro's na and was very impressed. Looking forward to some boost testing.

Kurt,

what were the results of the N/A test? Were they just the 230 CC castings unported? or did you get the All Pro CNC work and valve job, or have a good porter have at it with them?

The intake out of the box realy isn't that impressive.Trevor Johnson ported mine as well as Sean Freese's(KECHME).The worst runner in the intake still flowed over 380cfm
after he was done with it.I would like to see what the port alone would do over the untuched intake.
