d1 is best overall, cause its not terribly expensive and you have room to upgrade. p1 is if you only plan on doing that and making a smaller amount of power, however i could be wrong.

i think you can prob find a used d1 for somewhere in the range of 3500-4500 that includes most of what you need, but i havent been in the market for superchargers, just the turbos.

I really haven't made my mind set on a supercharger or turbo.

I think a turbo is really what I need. What about a used turbo kit, for the same horsepower?

I might beable to fab up my own plumbing if i just bought a turbo? or bad idea?

Phamspeed seems to be a quality company. However I guess their company is being revamped so there is a long waiting period right now.

I wanted a Procharger kit as well, but didnt want to pay the price for a new kit. So I basically found everything I could used. Used, I found the intercoolers, all of the piping, the pullies, the standard bypass valve, and the polished plenum, AIR pump relocation bracket, and the D1SC head unit. Everything else such as the fan, fan shroud, radiator support, j-bracket, etc... I had to buy new. Total, I spent $3050 which included the ATI race bypass valve. The only thing I dont have that normally comes with the kit is the fueling components, but that is about another $600 for pump and injectors. I figure it will cost about $4k with high potential fuel system and fully electronic gauges. Thats about $1500 less than a new kit... Let me tell you though... I started buying all of the stuff in Janurary and just now am getting all of it. It took awhile to find the stuff I needed. I didnt want to wait any longer for the rest of the parts so I just bought them new.

Good Luck.

Mine had some miles on it, a lot of highway, but I sold the complete kit minus the horn/cruise control brackets, air hat/filter setup and the bolts to mount the intercoolers(had to break them loose) for 2,000.00 That was everything including 38# injectors, a MMS crank pulley, stock crank pulley and various blower pulleys

Damn everyone is going trubo thsi yr.

I sold my kit with about 4-5K miles on it for $4200 shipped and that was the D1-SC with a Steel bracket vise the stock aluminum one. The SCDE spring tensioned 8 rib setup, and converted to a FMIC setup with all Stainless steel piping.
Just shop around..... someones always selling something on here....
When newbies start buying FI kits be sure you REALLY know what your getting into...... You can not cut your self short when it comes to two things..... the fuel system and the #1 thing... TUNING. If you dont have a tuner in your area then good luck because your stock motor wont be togeather long.
If your going to be happy with 8-9 psi then go with a set of 42# injectors and a inline or intank fuel pump and have a tuner that knows what hes doin tune it. The injectors and pump should be around $450 togeather and tuning should be between $500-600 because you want the car tuned using a wideband on the dyno. If you are even some what handy with tools you can put this kit on your self.

Kyle, I couldn't have said it better myself. If you're going to boost the car, fuel system fuel system fuel system fuel system and tuning tuning tuning tuning tuning. That's all I can say. both are a must.

I bought one here for 3700 everything included. Its a d1sc kit with fuel, intercoolers, etc., just need guages, install, and tuning. From what ive seen these are pretty reliable blowers so i hope to get some fun out of it. Just talk to the person selling the kit(in detail) and youll end up pretty happy. That is untill all these rich guys start buyin up all these turbo kits and you still get killed. good luck

You can get a new D1SC kit for around 4200-4500, maybe a little more....upgrade the fuel system, tuning, and other nice to have stuff and your looking at just under 6K

You can do a search for what used kits go for, my research has found that a D1SC kit can be had for about 3000-3500....Nastys kit was a little more, but his came with the a "few upgrades"
