Default PTK and Phamspeed oil return question...

It looks like the oil return line runs almost horizontal (perhaps a slight angle downward). Is this OK? I assume so since there is probably still some oil pressure in the return side from the feed side. Just wondering because I will be mounting my turbo low on my homemade kit and was just worried about the oil line. After seeing pics of these two setups, it seems like the oil shouldnt have a problem. Thanks.

Rule of thumb is to have the center of the turbo's center section above the oil level in the pan, but i think that is a bit too low. Both the phamspeed and PTK have there returns close to where mine was before and i didn't have any issues.

that answers that! haha thanks!

can that be done to a stock ls1 oil pan or does it need to be a vette pan or something. i thought i rememberd that being on my oil pan, but i dont remember it being a removable part, i remember it being a cast part of the entire pan.

They're all removable. I tapped mine 1/8 pipe, and installed a tee. One end has a -4 oil line, the other side has a pressure sensor. Most LSX block-off-plates are the same style, and are designed to be drilled and tapped.
