Default Waste gates leak at idle...

Okay, need some input here. All is well so far, but i note my wastegates, which vent to atmosphere , leak at idle. Where they are mounted is low, so at idle they also drip condensate.
1. Normal?
2. I was trying to rationalize it and wondered if, even if they leak at idle, do they also leak under light accelleration. Since at idle the Throttle blade is closed, and the turbos or spinning, perhaps the backpressure at idle aloows this? Sounds silly, but I am trying to rationalize. The waste gate valve rests against the flange. My old gates had the valve protrude from the gate, but these are flush.

Any thoughts?

How do you have them hooked up as far as the hoses? Are you running lines to both ports on the wastegate?

Not understanding if they are internal or external seat wastegates.

(Does the wastegate valve seal internally against it's own seat, or against the flange that it bolts too?)

If it is external seat (valve seals against flange), make sure that the flange is perfectly flat and has not been warped by welding, or uneven from ceramic coating. (and obviously that the hole in the flange is not to large for the valve to seal against).

Intimidate...I got them from you guys... You know, the nice "no namers". Tom Izzo got them for me. I liked the ones that came with his CAS kit, so I ordered them again..but the ones I got this time were not like the last. The last set used to flange (externally gated?) But these seem to be internally gated )valve may touch, but no pressure on flange).

I also have the Innovative boost controller...Ryan, I am using both ports on the waste gates, and can honestly say Im not positive its hooked up perfect, but pretty confident. Since I have not done anything but idle yet, Im low on info. Water drips out like crazy soon after start up.

Got a pic? They shouldnt leak at all.

Boost source is on the bottom port, controller goes inline on the top port from mani pressure if its anything like a TiAL.

Do these have a sealing ring, that when installed, add preload to the gate?

Thanks Louis, more infor to come on the days events later.
They arent "no name" bad gates, they are custom hybrid units that are (so Im told) part Tial and part something else which I cant recall. They work flawlessly on a few friends cars...who knows.

Make sure that the top port is not hooked up to manifold vacuum. It should be conected to the intake plumbing before the throttle blade.

If they are hooked to Vacuum, they will hang open.

The vac lines are not on in this pic, but I have the "side ports" hooked to the turbo and I think manifold pressure and the port closest to the back of the car to the EBC solenoid. I need to do a review... Car made max of 5 lbs, and only toward the top of 1st gear..at the change to 2nd gear (auto) it loses all boost and falls on its face....starts to sputter...may be getting way to much fuel which causes that as the car was tuned for alot more boost (20 lbs) at that point...but, I have a vac reg fuel pressure reg, so I would think that should have taken care of it. I can only assume some how I have some vac plumbing wrong. I dont really have enough info at the moment for many of you to help...need to create a schematic of the routing and post back.
Ryan, I do not have any vac lines in the intake plumbing before the TB, but didnt last year on the front mount system and never had an issue...I'll look into that, Thanks again.
PS, I'll post current pics soon.
