Default 02' Procharged WS.6 vs. 04' KB Cobra

I have a buddy that wants to race me at the 1/4 track. We are both pretty decent drivers but I haven't been to the track since I had 450 rwhp and he hasn't been with the KB. Both of us have had our current mods for a while on the street but no track time yet. Anyone want to take a guess who will win.

Me
2002 Procharge WS.6
557 rwhp
485 rwtq
(Mods in sig)

Buddy
2004 KB Cobra
556 rwhp
forgot rwtq

Both of us have 315 Nitto Drag Radials.

You should win if hes making about the same power as you and his car weights more

You should get him by 1 car length

post a video later

I would say you get some MT drag radials before you race him but if you guys race on Nitto DRs you`ll both spin badly and anything could happen, traction is the key factor .

KB will lose like they always do. I think that they are rated at Flywheel HP and not RWHP like your car.

Just like Saleens, they suck.. Kick his As$

WTF are you talking about? The KB charger is sick.
It will be a driver's race, you should have the edge by weight advantage

you win, the KB gets a HARD torque spike down low, he will have much bigger traction issues than yourself.

I think you guys are assuming to much. My T/A weighed in at 3500lbs w/o me in it and stock trim.

One question does he still have the stock IRS. If so he will break them bitches out the hole. If he has the solid rear axle going to be good. I am figuring you have at least a 12 bolt. I have a buddy with 600+ hp KB cobra, but wont race me because of fear of losing that rear just wants to race from a 55 roll. Out the hole you should smokem. GL

maybe in the advertisements, But the numbers posted about what his car put down is very reasonable.

The last KB cobra I tuned put down 587 once finished.

Its going to be real close.... His TQ will help him get the jump on u even with his extra weight. I say u will reel him it after that. Try starting from 2nd gear so he will be spinning... Make sure to heat those nittos real good before u do a roll from 2nd gear.

They have a new oil catching unit that keep it from spitting oil.

from a dig, it'll be whoever gets traction first. from a roll that would be interesting to see.

sounds like a drivers race, should be very close. but i agree with what someone said about the IRS. it will be much harder and less likely for him to get a decent launch with the IRS. if you can stick with him out of the hole, you'll pull on him after the 1/8. dont the cobra's weigh in about 3900lbs? also, what gears are each of you running?

Those half hafts split like twigs. Even with factory power. See them at the track being towed away. Need more info. The factory IRS are even more delicate than are dreaded ten bolts. If he has a set up solid rear axle and know how to drive he might hit good from the whole. KB make nice low end torque but lose power on the top end. Your going getm out of the hole to win. Find a good safe area and test your sixty foot and check out his rear end. If he has a IRS. He will have to feather the clutch out the hole to keep it together.
