Default pt88 pics

it is on and running. sounds mean, quieter but more angry. the bov is working hard when i let off. i am still working out a few things so i haven't really got to give it a full run but it feels much stronger up top than the t76. it is much slower to spool but i can get it to brake spool nicely. i think with the meth i will be running solid 10's on pump gas. maybe mid 10's on pump gas once i get some sticky tires.

here are a few pics, it's dirty under there. >> http://www.neufamily.org/pt88

i am finding a few interesting thing. with my cut out open the boost jumps something like 5psi.

i think my waste gate is too small. i have a 10psi spring in there and the lowest boost i can run is 14psi.

detonation comes on at exactly the same boost level with this turbo as the t76, both show KR at 18psi and no KR at 16psi.

i had to add about 20% more fuel, this seems like a lot and i wonder if i am out of fuel pump now. i just hooked up my gauge to efilive so i can log it. i am seeing about 75% duty cycle on my 95lb injectors and that just seems too high. this was at 20psi wich is more than i meant to boost it.

my bov is opeing at WOT for some reason but only for the first part of 3rd gear.

it sounds like it is not working as hard. the turbo is quieter. it spools quick from a roll if i floor it but slow if i roll into it. it seems to need the rpms to spool where the t76 would spool on a moderate hill at 1900rpm.

i am going to work out a few bugs and hit the track on friday. should be fun.

I was going to ask about boost creep but looks like you do have a small problem. I would say if you have no KR on pump gas and 14 psi, than you have no problem. Looks good.

yes that thing is gorgous, especially with the 4" downpipe. I think you could easily fit a 5" in there if you wanted.

id have to say the wastegate is definatly to small, what size pipe does the wastegate gasses travel though, is that an 1.5"? id think youd need at least 2" for the wastegate.
