Default Back to life

The silverbullet is alive!!!!! I have 240 miles on the new motor and she runs like a champ! I will be taking it to the dyno next week for some tuning after everything has settled. Thanks to Scott Culbert @ Gen3performance.net AKA Gomer. I'll post boost and numbers when I get them. God it feels good to have my baby back!!!!

It is his stock block at 3.905 bore and stock crank. We used Mahle -9cc dish pistons and rings, Eagle rods, ARP head studs, ARP main studs, rollmaster timing set, comp 224/228 .581/.588 114lsa 112icl cam, PRC stage 2.5 5.3 heads unmilled, ported LS6 oil pump, and new Clevite bearings all the way thru. He is still running the stock LS1 intake for right now and he has a set of Mac midlength headers on it going into a flowmaster (chokemaster) catback. The static compression ratio came out to 9.61 to 1 and the dynamic compression ratio ended up at 7.45 to 1 with the 112icl on the cam.

Fuel system is a racetronix plug and play kit with the "hotwire" (really nice kit), stock lines and rails, and a set of SVO 42lb injectors.

We had some holdups in the machine shop that put us about two weeks behind on the project, but it's all good now. I'm looking forward to getting it on the dyno next week

Gomer you think that he will be close to running out of fuel now with those 42#ers??
he might be.... same pulley sizes/setup as before??
if so should see less boost but about the same HP or a lil more.....
Let us know how it does when th etime comes.

I'm thinking he's going to see around 7-8lbs of boost with the new setup. The SVO 42's that I've used in the past have done pretty well at the LS1 fuel pressure where they are really 48.8's. We'll have an answer for sure next week I've got a local guy that gives me a pretty good deal on the SVO injectors, so I've been using them alot with good results on my S-trim'd mustang and some more blown mustangs.

Like you said you will find out next week..... does he want to up the boost more or just be happy with what it is now???
Just FYI if he does have to go bigger the Motron 60#ers work awsome and i saw New Era performance has them for $429.99 with free shipping right now.

I'll have to see how everything holds together. I think the 42lb injectors should be plenty. I was under the impression (rule of thumb...) that 42lb could hold up to 600hp? Is that not correct? I will up the boost > but fuel will limit me to how much. I'm not looking to beat any records or anything > I just want to haul some *** and not blow up my car again.....
