Out of the box, obviously the AFR's are better...especially for N/A apps on the street (smaller port, better flow, CNC machined). However, if you are going to port or customize the head to you app...All Pro's hands down.

Would 20 CFM on a blown application really amount to much? Also, where is the 20 CFM difference? If it's outside the "fat" part of the curve, I seriously wouldn't worry about it and then buy on whatever features you are attracted to with either piece of hardware. For some this will be an awesome head to get because they flow well un ported. But you can grow into the other features later on down the road.
AFR has a nice Head! but for an all out Race application I see AllPro as having more potential for makin the Power.

On the Corvette forum someone posted the flow number in the tech section for the AFR 225's and they were very close the the Allpro's. They were going to get more info on the flow data but it is interesting.

Well theres a flow chart right there. I Love how people say ALL PRO's hand down when they have probably never seen a set in there life. AFR obviously flows alot more out of the box. But there is alot more porting you can do on the AFR's then just the factory CNC. 400+CFM can be easily obtained with some more porting. No one knows anything about the ALL PRO's yet

Now Mr. Know-It-All...I again ask the rhetorical question, but you obviously didnt pick up on the sarcasm, how can someone begin to compare these two flows listings? The Answer is you cannot. There is insufficient information, what flow bench? Weather? There were way different standards, AFRs advertised flow, compared to an independent flow, no cool to compare. Also, look at the specs of how these heads were flowed...one no pipe, different bores, different valves, and God knows what else. And...if you bothered reading through some of the subjects on All Pro's you would see where several of the people that are regulars here use, have used All Pro's, so there are plenty ppl that have seen them and used them to give opinion. I hope if any newb is reading any posts from you, they understand you may be giving out bad info and potentially screwing someone over.
MM, get your APs and run some deep numbers man.
I personally would like it if the APs could start out in a 76ss, but seems the largest is 72cc. I need a lil lower compression when I swap heads

and i believe the all pro flow numbers are "as cast" with no cnc work done. so you could expect a **** ton more flow when you add in cnc work. take flow numbers for an as cast 180cc AFR head and compare. then we're talking apples and apples.

How did this discussion end up on the FI forum? H/C guys need great heads to be competitive, but turbo or S/C guys can make great numbers with crap heads. I know, I know, the best is the best, but if anyone on here were really that competitive, they wouldn't have time to hang out on an internet chat board!
