anyone tried e-brake launch?
I need to get my 60' down. My car brakes wont seem to hold the car reliably at anything over 2800 rpms on the 2 step. Has anyone tried to launch using the e-brake as well? I wonder how much holding power it would have. of course it is raining now so i cant try it out. I gotta get more boost on the line since I dont have a t-brake. Might as well try the e-brake.

you guys prolly know this but i did not...thanks to B1ner for this info. if you are only worried about et and not reaction time.....stage....put car in neutral while holding the footbrake down...rev motor a few times and you will feel the pedal drop giving you more holding pressure then put in drive and launch. I just went outside to try this and gained 200-300 more rpms before the back tires started spinning. On another note, at 3000 rpms on the 2 step i have 4-4.5 psi......in hptuners, hit the button under vcm controls for "absolute timing"...had it set to 10 degrees and boost immediately went up to 6 psi. I doubt my 26" DRs will hold that but i will tell you friday!!! I have been searching the net and found instructions for a "jumper valve" from the turbo buick guys. Apparently when activated, it applies most of the brake pressure to the rear wheels. This is just what I need since the skinnies slide anyway. Hopefully they wont slide when trying a 3000 rpm 6psi launch.

Or get an adjustable brake proportioning valve, and try to adjust a rear brake bias in with that. But be careful not to go to far or the car might start swapping ends in the shutdown area.

Just do what I did. bite the bullet and buy a converter. I just got my fuddle converter installed and man does it make a difference. it's nice to build 8psi against the 2-step at 3800 on the FOOTBRAKE. I wonder what it's going to do on the transbrake. .... John @ Fuddle Racing
