By the way im new with the ls1 but i was told the stock crank will hold up 700whp is that true? im only looking to get 650rwhp since is a daily driver , but I want to do all the work my self.

With some of u guys experince what do i need to beef up the motor , will pistons and rod will do or do i need a crank, is the oil/water pump enough?
how about the camshafts , lifters, push rods and rocker arms? the block sleves? im keeping stock stroke and bore..

I got the turbo part and fuel system pretty much taken care of.

once again thanks

keep the stock crank. maybe have it checked out. buy forged rods and forged low compression pistons. you'll need to know what compression you want when you buy the pistons. so you'll need to know what CC your combustion camber your heads are. ported oil pump is a good idea, not a must though. stock water pump is fine. aftermarket pushrods and some good springs on the heads are a good idea. stock lifters and rocker arms should be ok. the cam depends on how much power you want. a aftermarket cam isnt a must.

What cc pistons will yield 8.5:1 CR with stock crank/rods and stock LS1 heads. Any part# is appreciated. I calculated -21 cc dish pistons but would like to confirm that. any available forged shelf pistons with this cc.

Call LS1speed or thunder racing. They can answer any questions you have. I went with Eagle 6.125 rods with Diamond pistons and rings bought from the above sponcors.

im having futral motor sports build up my turbo setup. they custom ordered and coated pistons for my applications. Im sure they would be more then happy to help you out, just expect a 3-4 wait for them to be ordered if you get custom pistons.
