Default RWHP on stock crank?

How much RWHP/ RWTQ can a stock 02 (if that matters) crank withstand safely?

Harlan had to be at least 1000/1000 when he ran his 8.29 at Thunder last year. I am not saying that is a good idea though...

around 6500 rpm. I dont know what is meant by max or DD max. I want to just get forged pistons and rods, on my daily driven procharged SS and get the most boost/hp I can while still being safe. This is a daily driver so take into consideration I will be driving it almost every day. I REALLY dont want to break anything unless it is absolutely necissary.

I want around 650, but if a stock crank can only withstand 600 ill settle for that.

I think the stock crank is pretty stout.

Nitrated stock crank on the below numbers. The motor has 10k street/strip miles on it already.

Usually, they mean the journals. Polishing preps the surface for good bearing life, I would asume that is what they mean. I can't see polishing the whole crank to be necessary. I would like to know how many people are running or have run 1000WHP or very close on the stocker, and for how long...

me too...so if the stock crank is that strong, what is the purpose of getting a forged bottom end? why not just get forged rods and pistons...i was gonna get a forged bottom end soon, but if that isnt neccesary then ill just get the crank polished...anyone mind chiming in and educating me? thanks

That was also my plan... from what I've seen the stock crank is a pretty strong piece, much stronger than previous GM smallblock V8 cast cranks.

How about the stock LT1 cranks - you guys have any ideas? Will I be safe with forged rods and pistons running about 8psi off of an SQ S-Trim?
