Alternative to 2 step?

I was thinking, in a manual car, the only way to get boosted off the line is to put load on the car right?

well what if I used a line lock and slowly gave it gas and let the clutch out to the point where it wouldnt spin the tires, but put load on the engine, even if its only like a 2000 rpm launch?

would that work, or does that not put load on the car?

ya it puts a load on the car. but probably have a hard time holding it
i played around with using the brake to hold, giving it gas, and just letting the clutch out some to put a load, but my clutch didnt like it to well.

2step is so much easier....push in the clutch...hit the button and hold the gas to the floor....when you are ready to go just let out the clutch!!

ya, only problem with that is i dont know if allan was able to get ahold of one and i hear they are hard to come by.

so i figured since i had a line lock i could use that in the mean time...

the SUPRA guys say to go on/off with the gas pedal and that doesnt build boost but gets the turbo spinning up some...you could try that. just rev it up and down supposedly

Did you guys catch my thread about using the stock ECU as a 2 step??? I posted instructions on how to do it.

I just did it to another car 2 days ago. Stock car with STS T67 6 psi. 2 step at 3700 builds 6psi on the 2 step limiter quite fast and it was climbing. I'm pretty sure his car could get 10 psi out of it.
