Default turbo and auto trans.. need boost quicker

What have you non transbrake car guys done to get boost quicker off the line? I do not have a transbrake and was looking at options. I am footbraking but don't see allot of inprovement and see wheel creep as a problem. So I am thinking about adding a two step. What if I spray off the line? Would that be better than a two step or do I need both. I am missing than nitrous hit at the line I had before the turbo.

My converter is a little to tight. Supposed to be @ 3500 but probably is @ 3000 max. The turbo is a MP G.T.45. Rear gear is 3.70.

give it a hit of nitrous to help get it out of the hole...

Ricky glad to see you here. Either N20 or 2 step will work. N20 would be the more complicated setup, but you already have all the parts from your last setup.

As stated above, Harlan 2 Step or Nitrous. The Supra guys have used Nitrous big time to help em with their melon sized turbo's.

I don't know if Harlan still makes a 2step. If you are using an aftermarket ECU that would help.

NX's new Maximizer actually has a map sensor and whatnot so it will hit you off the line off a switch, then turn itself off at a certain boost level. Pretty cool stuff.

2 step picked me up from a 1.7 to a 1.55. You are going to be best served by running spray off the line. I may do this myself soon as I have tried everything else....

I was thinking that spraying was the best option. Right now the 60' sucks and I don't like that.

Most def bud. Picture nitrous as just adding more air essentially to a motor. Through tuning more gas is added. More air more gas = bigger boom. If you force the expanding hot air from said boom into a turbo manifold and thus the turbine your in business. Like it was stated earlier alot of supra guys spray to get the turbo moving and then they are done. Theres even a local guy out here in Missouri that sprays his SRT4 with all the stage 3 upgrades to ditch the trubo lag.

I have a few on my site... but not many new ones. I ran 150 shot with the other engine. Best with it was 6.84 @102 in the 1/8. I am looking for a little more this time. I am missing that nitrous hit leaving the line though, so it probably goes back on.

Any of you spraying 100 shot then maybe shutting it off after 2 seconds?

Here is a pic of the car only thing that has changed on the body is a 2" cowl hood and some M.T. drag radials. I have added a 10 point.

hey I remember this car from tm.com. VERY nice. I would seriously look at an NX kit with the maximizer. Just a 50 shot and cut it off via map sensor in the maximizer. Easy-Peazy.

IF i end up doing a shot out of the hole, i will have the eboost2 kick it in around 2800 rpms and off around 10psi of boost
