True story here, I walked into a local machine shop I use, and I swear the head guy there is saying "wow, wow, put the wrench down, and slowly step away from the car, bring it back up here, and let the professionals do it".
It was even funnier when he said it was one of those little rice shops who had a head ported,and didnt degree the cams, and wondered why the valves were messed up.

Seriously though, 500 isn't overly difficult. But like most, the turbo bug bites and the **** slowly goes up till something goes boom. Then things get expensive. And when things break under boost they break real good
If it's your only car, reconsider your options.
Upgraded valvesprings (918's, PRC doubles or LS6 springs would be fine with stock cam)
Good fuel system (intank)
Good injectors (42-50 pounds)
160 stat
Boost and fuel pressure gauges
GREAT tuning on a Mustang Dyno or the street with in car wideband
8-10#'s intercooled on pump gas
Low timing
Fat AF ratio
Sane rev limit
TR6 plugs at .028-.032 gap
Should live a long time like that
