I've only heard one good blower for the LS1... The Twin Screw for the LS1 GTO that was on the Multimedia forum a month ago. As far as other engines are concerned, All Kenne Bell Twin Screws sound absolutely BADASS. Now THAT'S good belt whine.

These centrifugal blowers for F-body LS1's...

Whistling turbo's own...

I used to have a procharged '95z28 and i never did like the whine . I remember one time when a buddy of mine pulled into a gas station in his procharged '95z28, and this one girl looked at her boyfriend with a puzzled expression and asked..."what's wrong with that car???!!!" I now own a turbo'ed SS, and I just love the sound when it starts spooling , there's just no comparison!

Blowers are cool but my experience is my d1 was waaaaaaay to loud, it was sort of annoying, when you get some attention on the street its cool, but when everyone and their mother asks you how much horspower you have at every light, get very annoying.
I must say that i hate belt problems as well and that is maybe why got rid of my ati and going with ptk
THe blower was so loud it was absolutly impossible to listen for any kind of motor noises, which sometiems gets very annoying when you think you hear your motor making some noise but you cant really consetrate because the blower whine is ear pearcing loud.
Who cares what it sound like, its all abot what makes more power and turbo is where its at.

If enthusiasm is based solely on performance...

Appearance is a big part of my hobby. I like my car to look and sound nice, too. Performance is just a part of it for me. We are not all race car owners with trailers. Some of us want performance packages that have power AND aesthetic appeal, you know, for those highway blasts with the top down.

I would never base the purchase of a part for my car only considering performance... It has to look and sound the way that pleases me, too.
