Diff. in AFR from no Meth to Meth on boost?

Is there any graph or calculation with a conversion of the drop in AFR when meth is applied? My friends STS will have his meth hooked up today, and right now I have tuned ~11.2:1, dont want to hit the meth and drop it to 8:1afr or anything?

You will have to spray the meth and watch the AFR and retune. That is the only way to reap the full benefits of the methanol.

Thats what I thought. Using meth do I still want to shoot for the mmid 11's afr or is there an added benefit being able to safely run leaner low 12.x:1?

i have always tuned for a low 12 on an FI car....never blown one up yet. 99% of these were on stock GM motors also. Just something to think about

if your meter will read in Lambda, you don't need to convert anything. Just flip it over to lambda mode and tune with the meth on.

Harlan, I have an LM-1, but I guess what I meant is right now I have the car richened up around 11:1 and wanted to get a glimpse of where the meth may take the AFR....9:1? If there was some kind of approximation, I could lean out the PE to more around 12.x:1 and then using meth wideband it. Whatcha think?

I tune for 11.0:1 with the meth on. I've run with it off and noticed that the afr was right around 12.0:1. This is using the SMC progressive kit with the 10gph nozzle and 50/50 water meth.

P.S. I've also noticed on the dyno the car makes more power when run at 11.0:1 vs being leaner when using the meth. Difference was about 20 hp.

Dave when you say blue truck you refering to Parish? If so he is in teh 10's before the 88 trim went on. He is makin 1k RWHP with pump 92 nad meth. Not a drop of race gas. Meth is a wonderful thing. Gl
