Auto or manual?
Auto or manual? I'm new to f bodies and I'm planning on buying a transam and putting a sts kit on it. The question I have is should I get a auto or manual trans? I'm looking to run mid to low 11's and want to know which would be easiest to get there with. Thanks guys

The difference in E.T. depends on driving ability. The auto will definitely be more consistent and people who are really into dragging choose autos for a reason. You can get low 11 sec passed with a 6-speed but the auto will get there with less effort.

A six speed is in and out of boost everytime you shift. An auto you nail it and stay WOT (boost up) for the whole ride. You also get the advantage of stall speed + transbrake if you want it. Auto. is a no-brainer for if your goal is lowest E.T..
