Default Bore Vs. Stroke?

I am going to be building a FI stroker motor, probally a turbo setup. My friend is telling me that I should build a big bore motor with a small stroke and Im thinking that I want to build a big stoke motor with a big bore. I want this car to still be streetable but, Im still looking for big hp numbers. What do you guys think I should do?

Bigger is better.. Bigger stroke wont rev as high, and bigger bore may have some cooling problems, but as far as those go, hog that bitch out..

I do plan on sleeving the block and then boring the cylinders to about 4.125 I am just unsure about how much stroke I should give it.

You have a Vette? Name sounds familiar.

Seems like I made a little video for a guy at Carolina Dragway with that name?

id save the stroker money and stick with the stock block and build the internals and spend the money elsewhere on a boosted setup. most of the really fast boost cars are stock or near stock cubes. a stock cube motor properly boosted will make enough power to be stupid on the street. just my .02

There's a guy that has a 4.1" resleeved aluminum block for sale in the "parts for sale" section. Search for "block" and it will come up. I think the displacement of his setup is 393. It includes forged pistons, forged rods and a forgedt stroker crank.

At 4.125 keeping a headgasket seal can be a PITA...

Just shoot for a 352 engine.

Also consider a LS2 block w stock bore or a truck block with a mild overbore.....

The first 200+mph Lsx did'nt have a huge bore nor a huge stroke.. While both theories have there backers the limitations of space between bores and piston g forces and speed limit each respecitively.

IMHO build an Iron block up anvil tough then make the power thru boost and good tuning...
