Speed Inc. shop car video
We took our shop car out to Great Lakes Dragaway last night and made a few runs.
Traction was a problem all night, tires are 28x11.5 et drags.
Dan Marks (whom also works at Speed) was driving. The car made 8 low 9 sec runs.
The best timeslip was-
60ft 1.426
1/8 5.968
1/8 mph 120.61
1/4 9.233
1/4 mph 150.50
This was leaving off the transbrake/2-step at 3,670 and 10lbs of boost.
The basic setup is our 370ci iron motor with out of the box AFR 225's, 236/242 112lsa cam (yes, that's correct), Innovative mid-frame 88mm turbo, T400 with neal chance converter, Currie 9in with 3.5 gears.
Tune up was 21lbs of boost, 22deg total timing, 11-1 a/f, and all runs made through the entire 4in exhaust and magnaflow muffler.
We'll probably play around with the suspension to try and get the 60ft's into the 1.3x range.

Sweet!
There is a chute on the car Kurt.
Jim, did you guys get the 10 pt in I take it?
Was the starting line greasy or was the car mess down track? GLD is convenient but I think that moisture comes in from the fields and the track goes away at nite.
Pure C16?

THANKS EVERYONE
PSJ...cage was completed by LRT a few weeks back along with the chute
Jim and Dan have put a lot of hard work into this car and we are very pleased with the results.
The car is 100% street streetable and is driven on a regular basis. We have driven it to the track in bumper to bumper traffic a couple times with no problems.
The car will go 8's with some more testing and suspension work.
